Newgrange, a passage tomb

“Without the modern high-tech equipment, they built these incredible structures. The most impressive passage tomb is Newgrange. A structure as far as anthropologists know was constructed by farmers it is 85 meters wide an 13 meters High. Archaeologist believe that besides a passage tomb it was also used as a place of worship. There is an opening that lets in a ray of sunlight that reaches a crucifix shaped room in the middle of the mound one day of the year.” A piece from ‘the Hill of kings’ by Anouk Beale
