The Druids have been secretly going to the Hill of Tara for years in the middle of the night on the 31st October/1st November. I guess that they were trying to bring back somebody from the other world. Because they have been trying for years, I would think they have either brought back an army of men or didn’t manage to bring anybody back. I can only think of two reasons why it mightn’t have worked. Firstly, they were doing something wrong. Secondly, the person that they were trying to bring back has already been brought back.
